Commitment Requests can be managed and monitored from the Dashboard and the Commitments areas.
On the Dashboard, the statuses of all active Commitment Requests are displayed by clicking the Commitments navigation tab, which shows the pie chart and corresponding table. Any section of the pie chart or rows in the table can be clicked, which will display the Commitment Requests that are currently in that status.
In the Commitments area, all active Commitment Requests are displayed in the display grid. Commitments are organized by Sent (Commitment Requests sent by your Organization) and Received (Commitment Requests received by your Organization).
Commitment Requests that are Overdue are displayed with and Commitment Requests that are Due Soon (within 7 days or less) are displayed with
.
Commitment Requests can be searched for using the Search field, sorted using the Sort By dropdown, and filtered using the Filter By dropdown.
Batch Actions can be taken on multiple Commitment Requests at once from the display grid in the Commitments area. Please see Batch Actions for Commitments for more information.
Finalizing Commitment Requests
Commitment Requests that have been submitted and confirmed by the Recipient can be Finalized by the Sender of the Commitment Request. Clicking Finalize Commitment on the Commitment Request allows the Sender to finalize the commitment amount for the investment. The finalized amount can be lower, higher, or the same amount submitted by the Recipient of the Commitment Request.
Changing Commitment Amounts
After the Sender of a Commitment Request finalizes the investment amount, the amount can be changed by clicking Change Commitment on the Commitment Request. This allows the Sender of the Commitment Request to further update and revise investment commitment amounts as needed.
Sending Capital Calls from Commitment Requests
Once Commitment Requests are finalized, Capital Calls can be created that allow the recipients to seamlessly and effortlessly fund their investment amounts. The Sender of the Commitment Request can click Send Capital Call, which will create a Capital Call in Draft status for the amount of the Commitment Request and will link the two items together. The related Capital Call will be created under the Capital Calls area, and can be viewed by clicking View Capital Call from the Commitment Request and the related Commitment Request can be viewed by clicking View Commitment Request from the Capital Call.
To send Capital Calls created from Commitment Requests, go to the Capital Calls area to finalize and send the Capital Calls to recipients.
